Pioneering Québecois noisecore/shit/audio-performance-art/greeting card purveyor Frank Goshit is an artist best left unexplained. I have numerous cassettes and CD-Rs sent to me by him over the years. I will do my best to characterize these works under numerous pseudonyms in this and upcoming posts.
“Telephoune” is an 11 minute recording of Frank playing around with a toy telephone and sort of grunting incoherently at it. I don’t know what else there is to say. A number of tapes under a number of names fit this formula of wordless vocals + sounds from toys or other everyday objects. To a newcomer, it probably sounds like someone either profoundly mentally disabled or so stoned they forgot how to talk.
