It’s hard to really “review” noise or whatever but I’m starting to feel a certain need to “blog” about good new music I know about and a lot of it’s noise and whatever.
The noise scene of Fargo deserves a bit of your attention and Brandon Wald is probably the #1 reason for that. (For an overview, Bandcamp Daily has you covered.) He’s worked tirelessly to foster the dissident audio arts up there through his performing & recording projects, involvement with underground venues, and certainly not the least his label Black Ring Rituals. BRR keep putting out bangers, but it’s been a while since we heard a solo statement from Brandon himself so this tape is welcome and worth the wait. A nice layering of squirbly static, contact mic metal bashes, and throbbing synth drones. Plenty other killer artists on the BRR bandcamp account too so do some exploring.
