Slightly delayed, but it’s a very proud double release announcement day here at the Farm! Two new tapes I’m proud to help bring into the world.

First, mascara is back, splitting a tape with a Minnesotan called Consciousness Prism. mascara throws down some deconstructed dance and hip-hop beat sounds turned into deep-space transmissions with squinchy electronics in contrary superimposed rhythms. Consciousness Prism starts out with plunderphonic seasonings in “Ode to Christian Marclay”, probably enough TV and film samples to ensure Demian Johnston will hate it, and follows it up by keeping the cosmic feedback and static snowballing until your synapses almost can’t take it.

And secondly, Raven forwards this death notice from machines to humanity all the way over from Serbia to us. Two long slabs of harsh metallic sounds filled with atmosphere and movement, noise as ambient, killing you softly (yet loudly) with its jagged razor-sharp edges. Also be sure and check out Djordje’s very active Dead Tones blog.

You can either PayPal centipedefarmer at gmail dot com five bucks directly (I’m bumping price up just a tad with these because I think my quality is improving with experience) or go through the bandcamp site, either way works, or hit me up in email to arrange to trade something. Or if tapes aren’t your thing (or even if they are, but maybe just not right now), grab the downloads from Bandcamp and pay what thou wilt.
